RIFLE

SMALLBORE RIFLE

Two Smallbore Rifle Leagues are run each year.  These are for .22 rimfire rifles only.  Both are shot on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

The winter league is shot at 50 feet from the Pistol Shed where we have heaters. For the course of fire you can choose either 50 shots Prone or 10 shots each Prone, Sitting, Kneeling and 20 shots Standing. It runs from the first week of January through March.

The summer league is shot on the Rifle Range and runs from the first week of June through August.  For your course of fire you can choose either 40 shots prone at 50 yards and 20 shots prone at 100 yards or 20 shots each position (Prone, Kneeling, Standing) at 50 yards.

  • A potluck awards dinner wraps up each season.

HIGH POWER RIFLE AND DCM/CMP

  • High Power Rifle competition may take several forms.  The National Match Course or Regional Match Course includes Standing slow fire, Sitting or Kneeling rapid fire, Prone rapid fire and Prone slow fire at distances from 200 to 600 yards.  This form of competition evolved from the U.S. Military's course of fire.  Some matches are single position only, either Standing or Prone.  Service Rifles and Match Rifles as defined by the National Rifle Association are the firearms used.
  • The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a national organization dedicated to training and educating U. S. citizens in responsible uses of firearms and airguns through gun safety training, marksmanship training and competitions. The CMP is a federally chartered 501(c)(3) corporation that places its highest priority on serving youth through gun safety and marksmanship activities that encourage personal growth and build life skills.  Check the calendar for CMP dates.

CAST BULLET

CAST BULLET

Cast Bullet Benchrest is the shooting of lead cast bullets in several different classes of rifles or pistols such as Production Rifles, Heavy Rifles, Unlimited Rifles, Plain Base Breech Seat Rifles, Hunter Class Rifle, Hand Guns, Long Range Hand Guns and Unrestricted Pistol.  Targets are the CBA benchrest target which consists of a target that has one sighting and five score bullseyes.  One shot is fired on each score bullseye.  Four targets at each range of 100 yards and 200 yards.

We also hold Cast Bullet Association  military rifle matches. These matches are shot with rifles that were issued to any military and are divided into three categories:

  1. issue, which is as the rifle was issued to the military,
  2. improved sight where the rifle can have modified sights or a few other modifications
  3. scope class which allows the use of a scope

These matches are shot at 100 and 200 yards using regulation NRA MR-31 and MR-52 targets.
